It's the FINAL COUNTDOWN...da-da doo doo

The boxes have been are still being packed, cabinets emptied and the wall has been painted.  The truck has been reserved and the movers hired… Monday will be here before we know it.

Today, was my last day of work and yesterday, Ryan passed his certification test.  The 5 week training period is officially over and we will be reunited on Sunday.  I can’t believe it is all FINALLY here… it is so surreal.

On one hand, I am heartbroken to be leaving such a wonderful city.  A city filled with so many unique people.  A city where there’s never a dull moment… always a live show to see,  a neighborhood to explore, or a new restaurant to try… but a city that wouldn’t have been nearly the same without these girls.

Thanks for making my time in Chicago so special girls!

On the other hand, I am so excited for this new chapter in my life.  During my four years in Chicago, I have changed in so many ways… I now feel grown up.  I moved here fresh out of college, single, independent and ready for a new beginning, in a new city.  I had my first full-time job, dated and eventually got married to the love of my life… and now we’re off to new town with endless possibilities.  Sure, I am nervous about the uncertainty of it all, but I’m also anxious to find out how it will all unfold.  This is the beginning of the rest of our lives and I can’t think of anyone else I would rather be with…

Here’s to new beginnings!
